Ophidianeyes

I guess I am the proverbial Jack of all trades, master of none. I paint, draw, write, do photography, mix media in photoshop, dance, dable in fashion design and making clothes, sing, and model for local photographers. As long as I am doing something artistic, I am happy. I do hope to, one day, get my painting to the point that it has a memorable impact on people. When composing my art, I feel awakened to the mysterious and the hidden of the world and I seek ways to bring both myself and my viewers into a new realm of reality.
Through my images, I desire to share a vision of beauty that runs deeper than the softness of light and skin that dominates classical ideals. It is my hope to entice the viewer into delving into emotions and questions stirred by the image. The image that I strive to create is one that melds the recognizably beautiful with things that are darker (with decaying surroundings, rough textures, deep colors, dramatic displays of light and shadow, or the portrayal of gloomier emotions) into a blending that becomes somehow serene; otherworldly yet touch-ably real in what is stirred. I wish to show beauty in the depths of what is generally considered best hidden or forgotten so that the viewer may step away with a greater sense of peace in the duality of their own, and all nature.
I also love to travel and explore. I am not really from anywhere because I have never stayed in one place for long. Which type of art I focus on always depends on how transient I am at the time. For the time being, I have settled in Ohio so I am back to working on trying to improve my painting when I have time after work and school.
